In 2021, when the studio was working on its first collection "Wool Diaries", the team began researching the history and techniques of felt-making in the Kakheti and Tusheti regions of Georgia. They spent time in these areas, working with local women to gain hands-on experience with traditional techniques, including making, coloring, and processing felt. Felt-making, a craft passed down through generations in Georgia's mountainous regions, remains a vital part of the local culture. It is still common to create traditional garments like the Nabadi coat and sacred hats, which are deeply rooted in the area's heritage. Felt- making continues to be a women's craft today, requiring significant physical labor. Most felt makers still rely on traditional methods, processing the material by hand without the use of modern technology.
